BLAIR COOK, Plato, a sophomore at Missouri State University-West Plains, has been selected as a third team honoree on the 2017 All-Missouri Academic Team sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society and Missouri Community College Association (MCCA). The award recognizes students from the 27 PTK chapters in Missouri who excel in the classroom, have the intellectual curiosity to pursue an academic career and cultural enrichment outside the traditional classroom, show evidence of substantial development of talents in academics and technical education, and have demonstrated an ability to share this development with others. Cook received a medallion, certificate, a $250 scholarship and a proclamation from Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens during the award ceremony April 12 in Columbia. She attended the ceremony with Dr. Dennis Lancaster, dean of academic affairs at Missouri State-West Plains. (Photo provided)
