WEST PLAINS, Mo.– A total of 267 students will be candidates for graduation from Missouri State University-West Plains during commencement ceremonies at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at the West Plains Civic Center.
In addition, 63 students will be eligible to receive degrees from Missouri State University-Springfield graduate and undergraduate programs, some of which are available through the Missouri State Outreach program on the West Plains campus.
Zora Mulligan, the commissioner of higher education at the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE), will give the keynote address. Mulligan was appointed commissioner by the Coordinating Board for Higher Education in August 2016.
As commissioner, she oversees the work of MDHE to strengthen the state’s higher education system, expand college access for students, and increase the percentage of Missourians who earn a degree or professional certificate.
